A Leadership Conference/ Mini-convention is a great opportunity for your chapter to fundraise, experience what it takes to host a convention, as well as allowing you to share JSA with your delegation and Local Statesmen.  Hosting a mini-convention greatly helps fundraising efforts because usually chapters charge between $3-$8 for entrance as well as hosting bake sales, tee-shirt sales, etc.  Many chapters decide to host minicons to make money for the next upcoming state/national conventions and promote their chapter as an outstanding group in the Junior State.  If you’ve ever wondered how the cabinet works in preparation to host a convention having your own gives you an idea.  Lots of work is involved, that the state cabinet members can help you with, but it is a fun and rewarding experience to host such an event.  Hosting this convention allows you to promote your delegation within your school.  By announcing to your student body about this event can attract more members to attend from your own school and help to expand your chapter while strengthening the members in your delegation to take on responsibilities and take pride in their delegation.  I hope you take these few words to heart and understand how much a convention like this can do for you and your chapter.  If you need any assistance in hosting a minicon/leadership conference please contact…
