This year is a landmark in the history of the Junior State of America. With the 2008 elections approaching, students in the ORV will have the opportunity to attend a Presidential Nominating Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as enjoy the excitement of living in important swing states. The Ohio River Valley will be able to meet and question leaders of this country as they journey to Ohio and surrounding states to gain the support of Junior Statesmen. I sincerely hope all JSAers will take advantage of a wonderful opportunity to get involved in political campaigns and examine the process of electing our leaders with enthusiasm.

This year in the Ohio River Valley will truly be our best yet. I can’t wait to meet all of you, and hope that if you don’t have a chapter already, YOU START ONE!! It’s easy, fun and incredibly rewarding!! I know I will see you at the Presidential Nominating Convention, Winter Congress, and Spring State!! If not, keep the spirit of JSA alive in your chapters, and have fun!!
