Greetings JSAers!

Since my freshman year, JSA has had an incredible impact upon my life. I fell in love with the organization, and now I have dedicated the rest of my high school career to making our State the best it can possibly be.
Although I have gotten the opportunity to meet and talk to many of you through ECCAD and at conventions, I would love to get to know all of you and your concerns for the ORV so that I can best serve our State next year as your LTG or in any other capacity.
It is an amazing time to be part of JSA and especially part of the ORV, and we only have to look forward to an amazing year before us.
And I promise you that, if elected, I will take the Lt. Governorship to the next level and dedicate myself wholeheartedly to our cause to show that students can run a national organization and that youth can make a difference in our world, here and now.
Thus, I hope you will take a few minutes to go the the links below to get a clearer picture of me as a person and as a candidate, and I hope that you will consider my candidacy for ORV Lt. Governor.

Yours Truly,

Alice Xiang

Platform

ORV Expansion

  • Help new chapters by giving them discounts to conventions and working out more transportation options
  • Work with current chapters on fund-raising to increase community awareness of JSA and to help chapters reduce costs and expand their delegations

Activism

  • Take a major activism project (possibly the Findlay chapter's project to build a school in Tanzania), and make it a State-wide project, with all chapters involved in promoting the project within their communities

Communications

  • Strengthen ECCAD by encouraging agents to build relationships with chapters - to not only call CPs, but to know about what is going on in the chapter and to work closely with CPs to help them in any way possible
  • Use online discussion services in addition to conference calls to facilitate smoother and more efficient planning sessions
  • Promoting inter-chapter communication through online forums
